When trying to read any other module, I get the IFH 0009 No Response From Control Unit. How to solved: I took about the connector and pins 7 and 8 are indeed soldered together! I verified that both pins 7 and 8 had voltage and that the connection from the chassis wires to the obd plug under the dash were solid.
HiI get this error when trying to access any of the modules in INPA, error first occurred when I tried accessing airbag modules and now I realised it happens with everything.Any known solutions to this??Thanks guysThat errors means there is no communication to the control unit.Could be many problems.- could be a bad cable / drivers- could be be software install- could be wrong com settings- ediabas config wrong- latency wrongSooooo many things. If your cable was dirt cheap and not tested then it's probably that.
Im trying to connect to a 1 series e87 as iv had issues with lack of power im off on holiday with the car Monday and wanted to find out what was wrong before i go i have read every post i can find over the last week but cant find the solution2. I have tried pin 7-8 linked unlinked3. I have pins 1, 4, 5, 6, 9, 14 and 16 in the obd socket4. I have tried xp SP3 32 bit.
Firewall disabled, no anti-virus. No other software is installed. (I've had the same problem using Win 7 and Vista).5. C:Ediabasbin is in the path.6. Installed the USB cable and set the COM port to 1. Latency is set to 1ms. There is no option to use FIFO buffer.7.
Ediabas.ini has STD:OBD as interface. It is also set so loadwinxp = 18. OBD.INI is in C:ediabasbin and system32.
COM port is set to 1 but i have tried every other com port too.9. When loading INPA, I get black battery and ignition when plugged in and starting car.10. I can not read the ECU. Or read errors. Just get ifh-00911. When trying to read any other module, I get the IFH 0009 No Response From Control Unit.12. I have tried 3 different leads all supposedly kline and dcan compatable13.
I have tried 3 different laptops14. I have tried to run dcantools but i get interface not found when trying to set dcan15. I have installed the software from 3 different CD that came with the leads and 3 downloaded sources reported working16. I am going insane i have spent 2 weekends and every night in the week trying to sort this out ready for my holiday please please help.
Beer vouchers available through paypal i am desperate!!! Sorry I can't help with your problem but I do feel your pain. I spent months trying to get a cable to work with dozens of different versions of software.I too didn't see any options for FIFO buffers but I did change them in the regitry, still didn't help me though.I could get INPA working enough to see/clear faults but nothing else (DIS etc).I took a punt at a completely different cable/software package from hereEverything worked, no messing with software at all other than click the INSTALL button.Too late for you I know and I'm not sure if it is suitable for an E87 but the seller is on an M3 Board, he helps out quite often maybe worth a pm to him.
